When You Wear this Dress
This song is not released yet, but I've been singing it out in the world. Feel free to learn it and sing it with your friends!
chorus:
when you wear this dress
when you wear this dress
know it was seen by soft, kind eyes
when you wear this dress
when you wear this dress
know it was worn with love
the fabric softened o’er the years
as I washed and hung and wore it anew
it has pockets hung in the perfect place
and flowers pink and blue
chorus
he always smiled when I put it on
he held me close and sang with the tune
how the skirt would sway as he danced with me
the prettiest girl he knew
chorus
when you wear this dress may your steps be light
may your laughter ring aloud
may your sweetheart smile when you put it on
for I cannot wear it now
chorus
