Magnolia Sun

My debut solo record is digitally out! It has been the biggest project I’ve ever worked on, and I’m so proud of how it turned out. The 11 original songs were written during and immediately after covid quarantine, and trace an arc from isolation back into community.

Circle Songs

In August 2023, I gathered a group of my friends and we sang some of my song circle songs together. I wanted to capture the feeling of socially singing with friends in a living room, so that’s what we did. It was a wonderful afternoon of music, and the feeling of community in the space was tangible. I hope some of the joy of singing with friends I felt that day comes through in these recordings.

Many Miles

In the summer of 2021, my college friends Lena, Regan, and I rented a cabin in the woods of Wisconsin for 5 days. While we were there, we wrote and recorded a 6 track EP. It was such a fun trip.

We didn’t end up finishing the mix and master for 2 years, but it’s finally out in the world! I had so much fun making these songs. I love how the three of us bring together our musical perspectives to make something that sounds like all of us and none of us at the same time.

DAFX 2022

This year, I had the opportunity to be a co-author with Kurt Werner and Ezra J. Teboul on a DAFX 2022 paper, Modeling and Extending the RCA Mark II Sound Effects Filter.

Virtual Caroling

This year, I had a lot of fun making “virtual choir” Christmas carols with my sister and friends scattered across the country. Since we couldn’t be together due to the pandemic, we each recorded our part separately and then put it together after the fact. Such a fun project!

WAM Career Panel

Recently, Women’s Audio Mission invited iZotope to present in a career panel hosted over Zoom. It was a wonderful event! iZotope and Sweetwater both presented various roles in our companies, explained skills we look for when hiring, and offered advice to those looking for jobs. I love the work WAM is doing to provide education and resources to women breaking into the audio industry.
