I’m so proud to share that The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has recognized iZotope by awarding RX 8 a Scientific and Engineering Award! It is so cool to see a product that I contributed to getting awarded such an honor.
This year, I had a lot of fun making “virtual choir” Christmas carols with my sister and friends scattered across the country. Since we couldn’t be together due to the pandemic, we each recorded our part separately and then put it together after the fact. Such a fun project!
iZotope Vinyl
iZotope’s Vinyl plugin is a classic vinyl emulation effect that was originally released in 2000, and for its 20th anniversary we gave it a complete overhaul. The update includes a brand new modern UI, as well as a new lofi effect, and it is available for free!
AES Show Panel
This year, I assisted Lisa Ferrante-Walsh, iZotope’s Senior Director of Software Engineering, with organizing a panel for the AES Show Fall 2020. Our panel, titled Evolution of Audio Products – Demystifying Innovation, used case studies to present strategies for bringing innovation into the product development process.
We brought in two experts from the audio tech industry to share their experiences, and I also presented about innovation at iZotope.
After months of development work, iZotope has finally released RX 8! I’m so proud of all the work our team put in over the past months to get this out the door.
I worked primarily on the updated Batch Processor, a tool for applying the same chain of processing steps to many audio files simultaneously.
Knitted Leg Warmers
I’ve spent the last few weeks learning how to knit, and just finished my first project! I love leg warmers for going to the gym, wearing before and after dances, and keeping cozy around the house. These have a spiral pattern and turned out so cute!
