Recently, Women’s Audio Mission invited iZotope to present in a career panel hosted over Zoom. It was a wonderful event! iZotope and Sweetwater both presented various roles in our companies, explained skills we look for when hiring, and offered advice to those looking for jobs. I love the work WAM is doing to provide education and resources to women breaking into the audio industry.
Flowery Dress
I had a lot of fun making this flowery dress! I made the pattern by tracing an existing knit dress I love and adjusting it. The scoop back with straps is my own design, and I also made the skirt longer and fuller than the reference dress.
Dialogue Match, my first product at iZotope, has won this year’s Cinema Audio Society Award. CAS is a prestigious society for television and film sound.

Dialogue Match
My first product release at iZotope is finally available! Dialogue Match is a Pro Tools AudioSuite plug-in that learns the reverb, EQ, and ambience data of a dialogue recording. After learning, it can apply that profile to other dialogue recordings to make them match. My part in Dialogue Match was mostly working on the Reverb module, which is based on Exponential Audio‘s reverb technology. I implemented an Exponential Audio reverb algorithm in iZotope’s codebase, tested and listened to it, and built the user interface in the final product.
This weekend I made myself a custom chalk bag! I created the pattern based on ideas from many different DIY chalk bag tutorials online. My bag includes a pocket, 2 loops for hanging, and elastic bands for attaching a brush.
California Twirl Contra Dance
After months of planning and logistics, we finally had our first California Twirl Contra Dance! I’m very passionate about building welcoming and inclusive communities around folk dance, and this monthly dance series is based on those ideals. We use gender-free role terms so that everyone can be comfortable dancing in any role they choose. Contra dance is about connection, community, music, and fun. I’m so proud to lead the team of volunteers who made this happen, and excited to see where this dance series goes.
